J1 LED supplied and installed multiple VMS displays for the Gabba Traffic Area. The signs were mounted adjacent to the carriageway above the road and are clearly visible by road users.

The displays provide clear, changeable, alpha-numeric information in relation to on-road incidents, real-time traffic information, road works information, parking restrictions and incident management messages. In some cases they have been used as fallback regulatory signage, during both night-time and day-time operations. The displays are constructed from marine grade aluminium and have endured 10 years with no weather related issues or major break down occurrences.

The control system for the signs are capable of performing both remote and local control using the software supplied by J1 LED to accommodate all programming, operation and monitoring features of the project specification. The displays are integrated in to the Brisbane City Council TCC (Traffic Control Centre) to operate on-line to the Council’s computer systems for remote programming capabilities.
